October News

The nursery work is now complete and the new playground looks fantastic.

The baby rooms (Einstein) consist of a sleep room, physical development room, sensory room and a large room containing all the key areas of learning and development.
The toddler room (Darwin) has a large stage which currently has the home corner and is also where our plays will take place. The areas of learning are clearly visible and the children will have free flow access to the natural garden as well as the monkey puzzle playground.
Preschool (Faraday) are lucky to have a beautiful market area where children can role play buying and selling. The children will also have free flow access to both outdoor areas. Children will take part in phonics sessions and Spanish lessons.

Davinder will plan and deliver science lessons for Toddlers and Preschool in the teaching room, which also has an interactive whiteboard for all children to access.

Open days at Monkey Puzzle Sidcup were a great success. Parents and carers were impressed by the nursery and what it had to offer. Children enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen, sitting in the sensory room and playing with the dinosaurs in the small world.

We have also employed a full time manager Sarah Smith, who has a wealth of knowledge of the Sidcup area and has previous experience of being a nursery manager. We welcome her to the team. Please visit our team page to find out more about the staff.
